Don’t miss the film ‘Dublin’s Culture Connects: Around the Table’ screenings in the National Library of Ireland in May. Showings are on Wednesday 3, 10, 17 and 24 May, at 1.15pm. All welcome, no booking required.
Dublin’s Culture Connects : Around the Table was shot in Dublin over five months as part of The National Neighbourhood. Ex-Dockworkers, Market Traders, Café owners and communities take us on a journey, linking the past and the present and following the food we eat across the North Inner-city until it arrives at the table.
‘Around the Table’ brought communities together with artists Jennie Moran (Luncheonette), Jeanette Lowe and Historian Donal Fallon who worked in partnership with Dublin’s Culture Connects, National Library of Ireland, Dublin City Public Libraries, and the Dublin City Arts Office to create a book of historic walks reflecting the history of food in the city, and memories of those connected. The film was created by Peter Salisbury
